The Wisconsin State Fair is a celebration of agriculture and livestock, local delicacies, and fried food. Ride down the big yellow slide, visit the farm animals in the barns, tour the Wisconsin Products Pavilion , swing by the WE Energies Energy Park, and more.
2. Sunday Family Fun Day

There’s another FREE Sunday Family Fun Day happening this weekend, and this time the theme is STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics). Programming will be provided by organizations such as STEAM Milwaukee, Club SciKidz, Milwaukee Robotics Academy, Mad Science, UWM Manfred Olson Planetarium, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, and more.
3. Birth Fest MKE

Bring your kids along to Milwaukee’s largest pregnancy and parenting expo! There will be a preschool yoga class, a Park Pals program, a presentation on breastfeeding education, car seat safety education, and much more! Attendees are encouraged to speak with exhibitors and vendors, participate in workshops and learning opportunities, and enjoy all of the activities geared towards expecting and new families.
4. Root Beer Bash

Welcome to Glendale, Sprecher Brewery, and Bayshore are happy to present the 7th Annual Root Beer Bash! This FREE, family-friendly event offers something for everyone, including free root beer floats (for every root beer float given away, Sprecher will donate one meal to Feeding America WI)!
There will also be live music and a kids dance party with DJ Kid Boogie Down!, face painting, henna, balloon twisters, yard games, bouncy house, petting zoo, T-shirt toss, giveaways and more!
5. Black Arts Fest MKE

This cultural festival celebrates and showcases African and African-American culture. Don’t miss the Family Village and children’s area, plus various genres of music, dance performances, and other activities focused around African heritage. A Market Square will feature wares and products aligned with the culture and produced by black-owned businesses.
6. Milwaukee Day at East Troy Railroad Museum

Admission: Adults $16; Seniors / Military $13.50; Children (Ages 3-14) $10; Members / Children 2 & Under FREE
Celebrate Milwaukee’s electric railroading history with a chance to see and ride on an historic Milwaukee Streetcar or a newly-restored Chicago North Shore and Milwaukee Silverliner car. Work cars from The Milwaukee Electric Railway & Light Company (TMER&L) will be on display, too, along with historic tickets and timetables.
Enjoy free popcorn and balloon animals in the Depot, and sing along at The Plinkers Ukulele Group concert. You can also listen to Milwaukee Alderman Bob Bauman speak about the museum’s early years (he was a volunteer from 1978 to 1982), and the development of the Milwaukee’s newest streetcar – The Hop!

Bronzeville Week kicks off this Saturday, and it’s Milwaukee’s annual celebration of African-American culture, history, art, commerce, and entertainment! While we don’t have a full schedule of events, we know that in past years there has been a Cultural & Arts Festival on Sunday. It takes place on North Avenue between Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and 7th Street, and it features vendors, food, live music, and a kid’s zone.
